A native Texan,
Monica began her training in ballet, jazz and flamenco at the age of eight.
After graduating high school she moved to Philadelphia to study dance at
the University of the Arts. Soon after, she moved to Chicago to complete
scholarships at the Gus Giordano and Hubbard Street dance companies. Grounded
in ballet and jazz, she is also versed in ballroom, salsa, and tango.
Since moving to Los Angeles she has appeared in numerous T.V. shows, commercials
and live shows including Alias, Lollapalloza, Paris by Night and Dr. Phil.
She has won several salsa contests and has traveled extensively worldwide
as a teacher and performer. Recently, she assisted Fatima Robinson on the
new Miami Vice film starring Colin Farrell and was cast for a second time
in Cola-cola’s Fanta campaign as “Sophia”. |
